Often I would hear others say that something should be done to help the people who lived there, but I didn’t see anyone doing anything about it. So I decided to lead a clean-up effort in that area. For one month, volunteers did work to spruce up the neighborhood.

If that didn’t happen, he would move on and do the same thing for another business. He was never out of work. My parents were highly intentional with my older brother Larry, my younger sister Trish, and me.
